Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Grey Street Primary School, we prioritise the mental health and wellbeing of every student. Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Leader, Jo Jones, works closely with the school’s wellbeing team, teachers, students and families to identify needs, provide support, and foster a culture of student voice, agency and connection.
Jo also undertakes professional training with Melbourne University to ensure our wellbeing programs and approaches reflect the latest evidence-based practices in student mental health and wellbeing. Through this work, our school continues to strengthen its capacity to support all students in feeling safe, connected and ready to learn.

School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)

Grey Street Primary School implements the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework a proactive, evidence-based approach that brings our school community together to develop positive, safe and supportive learning environments.
The SWPBS framework promotes consistent expectations and recognises positive behaviours across all settings. This whole-school approach supports students to make respectful and responsible choices, improving social, emotional, behavioural and academic outcomes for everyone.
