We are thrilled to offer a variety of fun and engaging fundraising events throughout the year to support our school community. These events not only raise funds but also provide opportunities for students, families, and staff to come together and make lasting memories. Here’s a sneak peek at some of our upcoming events:
To celebrate Easter we hold a casual clothes day where all students come to school dressed in their favourite clothes and bring along an Easter themed donation. Our eggcellent team of volunteers whip all of the donations into eggciting raffle prizes. Raffle tickets are 50c with the raffle drawn ready for the winners to enjoy their prizes over the Easter break!
We also run, the ever popular, Easter Bunraiser which is a fun and delicious way to raise money while celebrating the Easter holiday. For every bag of Easter Buns sold, $2 is donated back to the school!
Every year we are proud to host our Mother’s Day Stall where students are given the opportunity to pick out the perfect gift to show their appreciation for the special women in their lives. Our stall will feature wonderful gifts priced at $5.00 or $10.00. Prior to the stall you will be able to select a spend amount ($5, $10, $15 or $20) via our Compass events. On the day of the stall your child(ren) will be provided with $5 vouchers (up to the total of the spend amount) ready to select their perfect gift for Mother’s Day with love and care.
Get ready to light up the night at our Glowtastic Disco! This fun-filled event will have the whole school glowing with excitement as students dance, laugh, and celebrate under neon lights. The school hall will be transformed into a dazzling disco wonderland, complete with glow-in-the-dark lights, funky music, and exciting dance-offs. To enter the disco, there is a minimum $10 fundraise which covers the cost of glow-in-the-dark lights and glow accessories.
Kids will love showing off their best dance moves while wearing glow accessories, and there will be plenty of fun activities like glow face painting and coloured hair spray. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a night of music, fun, and friends!

Get ready for the most colourful, fun-filled day of the year – our Colour Splatacular! This isn’t your average fun run – it’s a wild, messy adventure with awesome obstacles, bright colour powder, and gooey slime!
The kids will run, jump, and slide their way through obstacles, and get ready for plenty of splashes of rainbow color and slime along the way. It’s all about having fun, getting messy, and making unforgettable memories!
To join the fun, all we ask is for a minimum $10 fundraise, with all the funds going towards special projects around the school like our new water fountains that help our students thrive.
So, grab your friends, put on your old white shirt, and get ready for a Splatacular day full of laughter and colour!
By volunteering at these events, you’re not just having fun – you’re making a lasting impact on the school experience of all our students. As a volunteer, you can be a great role model by showing kindness, patience, and a good work ethic. You never know how much of an impact that can have on a child. A big thank you to everyone who has volunteered and contributed with our fundraising efforts! Thanks to your incredible support, in 2024 we’ve been able to purchase 5 marquees for our school events onsite and offsite. These marquees provide much needed shelter and a meeting point for our students at our school events.
We are extremely excited that with your support of our fundraising we have started replacing our tired water bubblers with new water stations. The whole school community are excited to see these new additions in action, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

Parent Helpers are welcomed at Grey Street Primary School. Child Safe Standards require all helpers to have a current ‘Working with Children’s Check’ (which is free for volunteers). Volunteers must initially complete a short school induction and on each visit, sign in and out at the front office. If you are interested in helping at a school event, please contact our office.
