At Grey Street Primary School, we take great pride in our vibrant and diverse school community, where students and families bring a rich variety of cultural backgrounds and heritage. Our staff and students embrace the opportunity to learn from one another, fostering an inclusive environment where cultural diversity is celebrated and valued.
We are especially proud of our growing English as an Additional Language (EAL) program, which supports students in developing their English language skills while honouring their multilingual identities and celebrating culture.
The EAL curriculum plays a vital role in the learning journey of students for whom English is not their first language. Through this program, students build confidence and proficiency in communication, while also deepening their understanding of language, culture, and how language adapts to different contexts. The EAL program helps students form meaningful connections with their peers and the wider community, equipping them with essential skills to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and engaged global citizens.
At Grey Street, we are committed to ensuring that every student feels supported, included, and empowered to learn.
